Convert text time to time

Hi, having trouble converting the intervals below which are TEXT.


I need to convert
00:00
01:00
01:30
02:00

To

12:00 AM
12:30 AM
1:00 AM
1:30 AM
2:00 AM
 

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Sort by date Sort by votes
Try: =TIMEVALUE(A1) and format the formula cell as Time with the format you want.

Thanks , I eventually found a good formula that worked


=TIMEVALUE(LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-1)&":"&RIGHT(A1,2)

As posted, your formula is missing a parentheses, and when corrected should not be needed if the sample text data you posted is truly text.

Just a copy paste error into this thread, but it did work.

Time value converts to serial. Anyways... remember there are 50 ways to do the same thing in exce
