I want to count the cells that have the word "Select" in column E if the cells in column A aren't blank. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you... I just can't seem to figure out the right formula.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
=IF(A2=" "," ", COUNTIF(E2,"Select")) Tested this and it appeared to work assuming this is just an excel question and nothing vba cause then I am useless.

★ Yourself93, I think OP wants to count all instances of anything in E = Select and anything in A containing data (not just A2) ;)

Try this...
=COUNTIFS($E$1:$E$10,"select",$F$1:$F$10,"<>")
