Date Formula

Can anyone help me think of a formula where if i have multiple dates in one column, the column next to it will differentiate it by putting - 2, -3,-4 for ex see below

20051222	20051222

=A1&IF(COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)>1,"-"&COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1),"")

Thank you for the reply however this doesnt create the -1,-2,-3 if a date appears 3 times

If you have those values in column A and type the formula in B1 and drag it down then it does.
