If I have 3/6/2012 11:00:00 AM in one cell and 3/7/2012 14:30:00 AM in the other and I need to figure out the number of hours that elapsed, what would be the formula used to get there? It would need to be displayed as "27.5" hours. I know if you simply subtract the two cells, it will give you the number of days (1.145833) and then you could customize the format to have it be in hours (27:30:00), but is there a formula to calculate the difference and get it so it reads as "27.5"?

=(B1-A1)*24
=(B1-A1)*24
