Enter 01 instead of 1 !!!

How do I actually enter 01 in a cell after typing 01 and hitting Enter?
When I do it, 01 becomes 1 because Excel deletes the 0 automatically.

Tipe '01 and enter

or right clilck and select "format cells"
Choose the number tap and select "Custom" --> tipe in the box two zeros --> 00 and press enter or click ok.
Next time you type a 1 into the cell, a "0" will be in front of the one.

Hi,
You would have to set the cell formatting.

2. Hit Ctrl-1 to open the cell dialog
3. Select Custom from the format
4. Enter a custom format of "00" (Without the quote marks)

However, in general it is best to be indifferent to appearance. Since 01 is the same as 1 (numerically), these are the same and are best treated as such, unless there is a strong reason to prefer a particular representation over all others.
