hi

what formula in excel can i use to find duplicate values based on a column change in column A

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Here's my favorite. Sort on column A, then in an unused cell on row 2 (assuming there's a header row) place =IF(A1=A2,"**",IF(A2=A3,"*","")) and copy to end.
The first of any set of duplicates will have one asterisk, the subsequent ones will have two.
