Does anyone know how to create a formula that will fill a shape with a specific color is a specific event happens?

For my issue, I have created a Bar Chart to serve as a Gantt Chart to keep track of timeline events. Right now, each bar represents an event in time, and they end and begin one after the other, never overlapping because no events happen at the same time.

So, if an event happens to be scheduled at the same time as another event, then two bars will be on top of one another. I want to be able to make one of the bars turn red, so that if I put an event into the chart that conflicts with the time of another event, the bar is flagged red.

Any thoughts?

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hello PPOMPILI,

Welcome to the forums!

I would suggest that you create several chart series and use the NA() function to hide the different bars that are not relavent. Then color each bar differentlly and if it will show up based on your formula.

Here is a sample and tutorial of a similar chart only using xy scatter charts, but the same will work for a bar chart.

Please let me know if this helps.
