I have set up a Gantt formula by the day. I have also set a conditional format that highlights todays date in the spreadsheet. My issue is that it only highlights the actual date, I want it to highlight the whole column. Any suggestions? I have a feeling I am not describing this well so please ask me clarification questions.
Thanks!

Place a $ sign in the formula if you want to keep a cell reference the same

Welcome to MrExcel.

If you already have the conditional formatting working for the cell with the desired value in it, you will just need to update the "Applies to" section of the conditional formatting rule. In excel 2010:

Conditional Formatting>Manage Rules
Select the rule you want
Put the cells or range in the "Applies to" field.

Hope this helps.

I am using Excell 2011 for a Mac and I can't find where to edit the formula. The '$' makes sense but where does it go? And where is the "applies to" section? Thank you both for the help.
