Hello!

I have two columns:

  • [*=1]X ranging from 300 to 1050 (cells AB53:AB803)
    [*=1]Gaussian Model

I would like the Gaussian Model column to fill in with Gaussian values.
Not sure if this makes any sense. Here is a somewhat basic example of what I mean.

Example:

I want to generate Gaussian data for 11 cells.
If the data were to be graphed, I want the data to have an amplitude of 85% (0.85).

The data would look like something this: (values are guessed here, just for the example)
X

How would I go about writing a function that would do this within the regular formula editor?

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I am seeing references to NORMINV online, but I am having a hard time with that (am not sure if that is even the correct route to take here).
