I have a spreadsheet which has due date in column AB, and a completed date in column AC.

If today's date is = to AB and AC is blank, I'd like AC to turn orange.
If today's date is +1 day greater than AB and AC is blank, I'd like AC to turn red.

If a date is entered in AC which is either equal to or less than AB I'd like the cell to turn back to white.

I've tried googling but can;t seem to get anywhere, and it's making my brain ache! Any help would be much appreciated - thank you.

Hi Kerryx,

I have exhausted my brain using conditional formatting, no matter what I try it does not seem to work!

Assuming your data starts in rows 2.
Select AC2 to the last row of data & in CF use this formula
=AND(AC2="",AB2+1=TODAY()) for red
=AND(AC2="",AB2=TODAY()) for orange
