Hello,

My question may be relatively simple. Im curious about adding a function into the formula which I currently have that works. The formula is an IFISERROR.

=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(O14,A$1:E$5,0))=FALSE,"Yes","No")

The way it works is - O14 checks for a value in my Array of A1:E5. If it finds that matching value it returns a yes or no. Pretty simple right..

What I would like to do, is if the formula finds the matching value, I want to add in a way to divide O14/the Z41.

Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to do that?

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Is your formula =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(O14,A$1:E$5,0))=FALSE,"Yes","No") producing the results you expect?
I was of the opinion the Match() function only worked with an Lookup_Array of either a single Column or a single Row.

MATCH(O14,
A$1:E$5
,0)
????

Can you manipulate things so that your formula returns a "Yes"?

Jim is right about the behavior of the MATCH function.

Is this perhaps what you want?

=IF(COUNTIFS(A$1:E$5, O14), O14/Z41, "not available")
