If's with drop down menu

Hi,
I have a list of items on sheet 2 in A1:A5. I also have a list in B1:B5
In sheet one A1 I have a drop down list which selects the items in column A (Sheet 2). I want a formula beside this list that displays the info from column B. I can do it with one item. Do I need multiple if?

How about a VLOOKUP?

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!A1:B5,2,0)
