I was wondering if a pdf is actually stored in excel when you insert it as an object or is just a link to file location.
Im wondering if I insert it as an object then email the excel workbook to someone will it actually open the pdf.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Hi,

Im wondering if I insert it as an object then email the excel workbook to someone will it actually open the pdf.

The answer is yes. The recipient can open as pdf file. He has to double click on object to open it.

Thanks

How about sending a file to someone to test it

To answer your query - YES
To embed the PDF - Click INSERT tab \ click TEXT icon \ click OBJECT \ ...etc

Method tested it on a PC containing a dedicated PDF reader and also on PC that opens PDFs in a browser - both opened

ok. So the pdf is stored within the Excel file. Do you know were it is actually stored? Is there some type of folder that in stores them in?
