Is it natural for Excel not to update automatically values based on formulas in a sheet with several formulas in a large file?

Is it natural for Excel not to update automatically values based on formulas in a sheet with several formulas in a large file?
I have to save the file in order to refresh the formulas' values.
Or there is a problem with my Excel or PC?

Look at Formulas Tab \ Calculation Options and change to automatic if set to Manual
