I am building a data analysis company. My thrust at the moment is analysis of cell number and SMS messages. I plan to do the following with cell numbers: categorize according to source (e.g. radio programme); frequencies by date, month, day of the week and time; dedupe, analyse SMS messages and frequencies by duplicate cell numbers over time; etc. For SMS messages, I would like to be able to analyse words such as word count, typical words used, contexts, etc.

I am aware that this takes writing macro formulas? Well, I am not a programmer and don't plan to learn this skill at 42. I need someone who can write the macros for me. On finding such a person through your help (and hoping I can afford the associated cost where applicable), I shall issue a comprehensive brief. Thank you

Who is Mr Spreadsheet?
Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
You could actually do a lot of what you describe with built-in functionality like pivot tables.

The data would need to be well-formed though, and that's where code could come in handy.

Also the built-in functionality would only really give you tools for basic analysis - some of the more 'complicated' things you mention might need code too.:)
