I would like to know if this is possible. I have a list of people to fax, different excel sheets, but using relative ref, the data in each sheet is modified. I'm trying to make a macro by which the fax process is shortened. In this procedure, I have to copy paste the name, then again copy paste the fax number, then hit enter... I want to reduce the number of keystrokes by assigning a macro to a button so that I can easily 'Send' it in one click.

Has anyone done a macro like this? Any help will be highly appreciated... Thanks...:)

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
I can't write you a macro unfortunately as I'm a bit of a noob, but I'd start by recording a macro of you doing those actions.

I tried recording a simple macro to perform these steps:
1. Ctrl + P (Open fax dialogue box)
2. Ctrl + C (copy name)
3. Ctrl + V (Paste Name in name field)
4. Alt + Tab (Switch to excel sheet)
5. Ctrl + C (Copy Fax number)
6. Alt + Tab (Switch to fax dialogue box)
7. Ctrl + V (Paste Fax number in Fax field)
8. 'Enter' to send fax.

The only thing that works is the first two steps, i.e., Cell A1 will be copied, then the fax dialogue box is opened. Nothing else happens after that. I need something that pastes the copied data on the fax dialogue box... :)
