I need some help in writing a macro. I rely on your mercy to share your knowledge with me.

So, basically I have a large database and I need to summarise it in a summary sheet. I need a formula for vlookup that will look in a different sheet for specific data by some criteria written in the summary sheet. The data in that different sheet can be anywhere in the row. I want vlookup to bring the first thing it meets in the row (not counting blank sheets) and ignore the rest.

Any help?

Or shall I explain it again if it's too vague?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
*I want vlookup to bring the first thing it meets in the row (not counting blank sheets) and ignore the rest.

Should read: I want vlookup to bring the first thing it meets in the row (not counting blank cells) and ignore the rest.

The catch is that these data are not located in the columns next to each other otherwise it would be very easy to make.
