Hello, Hello again

Is it possible to create a formula that looks up the nearest value within a range but then returns a corresponding value to that nearest value from another column range? I imagine it would include a minimum/maximum and match.

Hopefully I can explain this ok.

for example If the nearest value to A1 can be found in column A2:A42, return the corresponding value to that nearest value from column B2:B42.

Fingers crossed that makes sense
thanks again

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
{=INDEX($K$48:$K$180,MATCH(MIN(ABS($G$48:$G$180-W5)),ABS($G$48:$G$180-W5),0))+$Q24} - this works perfectly when all values are $ but when the Index column and W5 value is a date and returning a corresponding $ value what would the formula look like?

thanks
