Hi all!

Very simple question for Excel (not VBA). I have a cell, A1, which contains variable and changing text e.g. "C23".
In cell B1, I would like to refer to the cell address in A1, in this case C23, in another worksheet, Sheet2.

So for a specific known value, I would enter ='Sheet2'!C23 into B1. What do I enter to make this general i.e. whatever the contents of A1 are?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Welcome to the forum.

That's what INDIRECT does:

=INDIRECT("'Sheet2'!"&A1)
