Hello Members,

I have an excel file with working and I want to automatically paste values in some cells from Excel to word by concatenating a cell followed by a table range and than again a cell.

Cell # E10 (Sheet1)
+
Values in Column B Row 1 to Column J to Row till the table last from Sheet - Order Table (The range has to be dynamic as the table many have different # of rows all the time. The values are in excel table and need to be pasted in the same format.

+

Cell # B15 (Sheet1)

I hope I had been able to explain the problem, it would be great if someone can help me with the solution.

Thanks.
Raj

You should check that the named range still spans the data; the only logical reason for the link in Word not updating to reflect the new range is that it doesn't.

Hello Paul,

I had tried many many times however the table in the word is not updating if additional rows are being added to the data in excel.

I am confused on this part:: You should check that the named range still spans the data ~~ Please explain.

Sorry to bother you, if you can share me a link for a video or instruction link, it would be great.

Thanks,
Raj

If the added rows are not appearing in Word, that strongly suggests either:
• the range your originally copied & pasted into Word wasn't exactly the same as your named range in Excel; or
• the named range in Excel has not been updated to include them.
You need to check:
• what range the LINK field in Word refers to; and
• what Excel range the name actually spans once you've added the new rows.
In Word, you can do this by Pressing Alt-F9 and examining the LINK field code. If it refers to the named range, that name, rather than a sheet & range reference (in R1C1 format), should appear after the filename. If a sheet & range reference appears, simply change that to your range name.
In Excel, you can use the Name Manager to check what range the name refers to.
