Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a drop down list with value changing in excel 2013.

Basically the goal is when I choose something from the list, it changes it into a number.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance,
Liran.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
A dropdown list has an order already, 0 to X. Can you use that as the number? What are you doing with the number?

The drop down list is in a column that represents cities. I want to define numbers to the cities so when I choose a city from the list, the same cell with the drop down list will change to the number I defined
