Folks,

My pivot counts the number of each item code invoiced. the data is spread over two financial years. In the dataset, there are only four columns: Item Code, Item Description, Invoice Date, and Financial Year. is there anyway within the pivot to calculate the variance for each item this year to last? My rows contain the Item codes and their Descriptions, and the columns are This FY and Last FY. The values are a Count of the Item Codes. Can the pivot be set up to subtract this years Count of Item Code from Last years Count of Item Codes, for each specific Item Code? The end result would be similar to having a helper column down the right hand side of the existing pivot, calculating the difference between the FY18 and FY19 columns.

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
If you have a later version of Excel.....You can drop the Count field into the values section a second time and select Display As: Difference from Previous.
Experiment to get the settings correct.

Does that help?
