Printing times in color seem very slow?

Hi,

I have some sheets with simple colored cells and text. No large graphic files - just standard excel shading. As I am typing this I am waiting on a one page sheet to print that is over 11 MBs what causes he file sizes to get so large and is there any way to shrink them or print faster? Seems way to large for one sheet of maybe 120 names with colored text especially when the whole file is like 500K.
