Ranking Function

Hello everyone,

I am having major issues trying to determine if there is a way to calculate a certain function. Backstory: I have a list of individuals in a spreadsheet who appear repeatedly every time they make an error in a specific database. I report this information to an executive who needs to know how many times the individual's name appears. This is a monthly report, and so as the year goes on, there are a significant number of rows appearing in the spreadsheet.

I want to look up, by name, how many errors are occurring specific to each person. But this is only the first step. I am looking to create an automatic ranking table that pulls the top 5-10 names that appear most often, and the number of times they appear, automatically from the raw data tab. Does anyone know how to generate a table that pulls ranking, in order from greatest to least, the number of times an individual's name appears?

Thank you for your help!
