HI, When inserting a slicer from a table, the option to select report connections is greyed out. My worksheets are not protected.

Thank you, apologies if this is a simple one....

UPDATE

This only happens when inserting a slicer from a table, not a pivot table

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
A pivot table is a summary of its data, whereas a table is the raw data itself. You cannot use 'report connections' with a slicer attached to a regular table.

Ah I see. Im trying to find the best way to create a dashboard using data from a table. However I need pivot tables to do so I think.
