SUMIFS Frustration

G'day Excel Gods,

I normally have no issue with SUMIFS, but I have one spreadsheet that is kicking my butt and driving me insane!

I want the total from Column E based on the value in Column B, however I need to exclude the value in Column E if Column C is blank.

The formula I have is...

=SUMIFS($E:$E,$B:$B,$G30,$C:$C,"<>"&"")

...where $G30 contains the value to match.

It doesn't seem to matter how I write the exclusion part, it either adds it all or shows an error.

As always, any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Jason.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
If column C is text, you could use:

=SUMIFS($E:$E,$B:$B,$G30,$C:$C,"?*")
