TEXT formula does not return date

=TEXT("G" & ". " & G10 & " - " & INDIRECT("G"&L1),"mm.dd.yy")

Returns date's serial:
G. Image In Date - 44648

Instead of date itself, G column contains that date in it:
G. Image In Date - 03.28.22

When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
You need to put the TEXT part on just the date part, not on the whole concatenation, as you are just formatting the date part, i.e.
Excel Formula:
="G" & ". " & G10 & " - " & TEXT(INDIRECT("G"&L1),"mm.dd.yy")
