Hi
I have read that if a function in vba returns something then it should be call using () for example

functionName()

I tried Date() which return a date but when I type it Excel removed () for me and my code look like this

Code:
Sub mydate()
    MsgBox Date
End Sub

Why excel did not keep () because this function return date? Thank you so much

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Date function does not require parentheses, it may be, because it does not need arguments and it is a widely used function and it is to make life a little easier for programmers.
