Hi All,
I'm trying to identify matches between two colums and I'm so close to getting there! (I think). The only issue that I'm having is the fact that the colums don't contain data that is just numeric. They are both serial numbers, which contain both.

Here's what I've done so far. Example Table:

A---B---C
2--- ---4
3--- ---2
4--- ---3
4a- ---4b
4b- ---4a

What I've done for column B was put this in as the formula and then just filled it on down

Code:
=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A2,$C$2:$C$692,0)),"",A2)

Once I did that, the sheet looks like this:
A---B---C
2---2---4
3---3---2
4---4---3
4a- ---4b
4b- ---4a

The formula is working, but it's not able to read letters. What do I need to do to modify it?

Thanks so much if anybody helps! :)
