Using a Macro to create a new sheet according to a template

I've got a complicated document where a certain type of sheet relates to other fixed sheets. I want the capability to add in a new sheet of the first type using a macro. How would I go about designing this? It needs to include various macros that define its relationship to other sheets. This is to avoid the alternative of copying an existing sheet and changing all of the information and relationships defined in the macros manually.
Any ideas about how I'd go about this?
Is it possible?
Happy to provide more info if anyone thinks it might be helpful
