Hello,
I have a master workbook with reference numbers. I want a vlookup that will look into another workbook across multiple sheets to find the reference number and pull the name in the 4th column. I do not want to work with macros and I am hoping to do this with a vlookup (or similar formula). I am using Office 2010.
Thanks!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
This might work (if there aren't too many tabs).
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A10,'[OtherWorkbook.xls]Tab 1'!$B$7:$E$44,4,FALSE),IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A10,'[OtherWorkbook.xls]Tab 2'!$B$7:$E$44,4,FALSE),VLOOKUP(A10,'[OtherWorkbook.xls]Tab 3'!$B$7:$E$44,4,FALSE)))
