Hi,

I would be grateful for some help with this data cleanse.

In Sheet2 column A I have strings of texts that I need to find and copy 3 pieces of information:

1. Find serial number in one of two formats:
"***/*****"
"***/*****/**/**"

and copy to Sheet1 column A

2. Find one of these text matches:
"Submitted"
"Rejected"
"Progress"
"Completed"
"Approved"

and copy to Sheet 1 Column B

3. Find date in format dd.mm.yyyy and copy to column C

Many thanks :)

Hi,

With no practical examples of your texts in column A ...difficult to comment ...

Have you tried from your main Menu : Data > Text to Columns ...???
