Hello,

I'm looking for some code that will rank by name. Meaning anytime a name changes it will start over counting. Please see below.

Name Rank
Frank 1
Frank 2
Frank 3
Frank 4
Mark 1
Mark 2
Mark 3
Mark 4
Mark 5
Mark 6
Mike 1
Mike 2
Mike 3

Thanks in advance!

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
No VBA code necessary. This can be done easily with just a formula.
Place this in cell B2 and copy down:
Code:
=IF(A2=A1,B1+1,1)
