hi everyone...

I need a formula that will average the values in column AA ONLY if there is a student name in column C. The name is obviously unique for each student so i am wondering if countA would be part of the formula.

thank you!

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
*** Ignore my post, I had mis-read the question***
Where there is not a name in column C, is it blank instead?
If so, then Excel automatically ignores the blank cell so just using the AVERAGE() formula will work fine.
