Changing text to barcode to scan

Hey all,

I'm trying to take text in one column and have it spit out a barcode in a second column. Doing some searching, I've realized this might just be a font issue. Am I right, and where can I get the font (preferably free) to install on a Mac? Is there a formula for changing fonts in a column?
