Hey everyone,

I have a question on how to create a conditional formula.

I have the information entered into 1 sheet (called In House), filtered the information (hidden rows) and want it to count how many times 'Telegraph' is mentioned in the K column with the total in a different sheet.

The following formula is working for that: (SUMPRODUCT(SUBTOTAL(3,OFFSET('In House'!K10:K103,ROW(K:K)-MIN(ROW('In House'!K10:K103)),,1)),ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Telegraph",'In House'!K:K))+0))

Now - I want it to only count if the corresponding date in that row in Column E is today. I have tried many options but cannot figure it out.

could someone please assist me? Thank you all for your help!

Your title "Conditional formatting" doesn't match the question about counting lines that contain a string.

Maybe you could sort your data by date and only apply your equation on those lines. Otherwise you are going to approach the character limit of an Excel formula. The other option is to make another row that does the comparison for date. Then say if that row is = to 1 then do your second comparison. Bulky. Clunky.
