I am seeking help on a conversion formula that would take for example "2 days 16hours" and convert it to total hours, is this possible?

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop

Will there always be a space before the word "hours" (your example does not show one... just wondering if that was a typo)?

Will there always be some number of days or could that part of the text be missing sometimes?

The format is currently as follows, # days # hours.
