Can someone please tell me what the statement would be if i wanted to count the following:

count when g8="application" and g13="y" this would go on till we reach column FW, so fw8="application" and fw13="y"

Let me know if you need more details.

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Hi

Something like:

=SUMPRODUCT(--($G$8:$FW$8="Application"),--($G$13:$FW$13="y"))

you can replace the "Application" and "y" with cell references holding the values to count for.

Best regards

Richard
