I would like to highlight cell differences.

I have a workbook that has 4 columns. Column A is Names for Items. Column B is the items. Column C is Names for Items. Column D is the Items.

A and B may have Names/Items that appear in C and D, but in different order.

I want to be able to highlight items in B that do not appear in D.

How would I be able to have it highlight if A1B1 has no match comparing each line of c1d1-c1000d1000. I want to make sure that it is checking each column pair for matches.

I am certain some form of Index Match will do it.

Thank You.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Try applying the following CF rule to range B1:B??

=NOT(SUMPRODUCT(--($C$1:$C$1000&$D$1:$D$1000=$A1&$B1)))
