Excel Conditional Formating: Earnings above and over

Hi can some one help be with a formula for conditional formating.

I have a database of 12 months earnings (A - L Coloumn) i want a formula for if it is above the average and another when it is below.

I have used the conditional above formula but it tends to hightlight all even if they are consistant and maybe one is below.
 

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
This is entirely possible if there is little variation between the values. (1 @ 10 and 11 @ 20 will result in 11 above average and 1 below)

Note that you'll need 2 x CF rules >> 1 for ABOVE average and another for BELOW, with default format for EQUAL.
