Formula help for multiple filters, delete/keep row of data for duplicate month

For cleaning up student testing data that will be imported elsewhere, I would like to set up a macro and/or formula(s) to:
- find if a student tested more than once during any month in a year
- if so, find the higher __ score (there are multiple values, so let's say highest TOTAL score, as I'm not sure which one I need yet) and then remove the entire row of data containing the "lower score that month" data (so I guess maybe find the LOWER score and delete that entire row or pull over the Higher score to another area/sheet??)

Each student tests several times a year… (so multiple student entries from 3 to 12+) but most do not take the test more than once a month, only some do.

My biggest perplexion (is that word?!?!) is creating a formula or macro to search through each student's batch of data (anywhere from 3 to 12+ entries) and THEN find the month duplicate, and a higher or lower score.

Thanks for any help!
