I am looking for the correct IF statement to put in column "F" that is checking the date in column "J".

If the date in column "J" is greater than today (current date) then I need the wording "Future" put in column "F"
if the date in column "J" is less than or equal to today (current date) I need the wording "Retro put in column "F"

I need the formula to copy down column "F" as long as there is a date in column "J" to the bottom of the column.

Thank You,
James

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Assuming you want to compare the same Cell In F and J, meaning F1 to J1, then try this and copy down:

Code:
=IF(J1>TODAY(),"Future","Retro")
