Hi

Is it possible to lock Tabs on a Spreadsheet book?

The spreadsheet has 20 Tabs. It there a way to lock 3 specific Tabs [all tabs have a specific name] so these cannot be edited unless you have the password to unlock.

What is the best way to lock the 3 Tabs?
Can these 3 be protected with a Password?

Thanks

Hi James,

For the tabs that you want to lock, you can do a right click on the tab -> then press 'protect sheet' -> enter a password for the specific tab. Follow these steps for all the three tabs you have selected.

Please, do make sure that all the cells within the worksheet are locked. You can make sure that's the case by going into the tab, select all the cells (shortcut: Ctrl + A), right click -> format cells. Then go to tab 'protection' and make sure that the tickbox before 'Locked' is ticket.

Now your three tabs should be locked and users won't be able to edit it, without the password.

Cheers,
Rick
