Hi,

I need a lookup formula that will look at a value in another excel spreadsheet but not entirely sure how to do this.

Essentially it's - if 'username' (column I) matches 'username' (Column I) in spreadsheet 'R_US_0418 then 'Existing' else "N/A"

Any idea on the formula required please to make this work?

Thanks

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
You could adapt something like this:

=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(I1,Sheet2!I:I,0)),TRUE,FALSE)
