Hello,

I have problems when these example amounts/figures (in A) are shown using a 3rd party application. Instead of showing the up to two decimal places and with comma (,) if necessary, it only show the following (in B)

How can I adjust in the excel in a way that i will get the correct format (in C)?

Ive tried formatting the cells but no luck. It is ok when you format first the column into TXT, then input the nos but what I have is the nos are already in the column which when I format it into text, it will not give me what I expect (C)..

ABC
256.00256256.00
1065.501065.51,065.50
0.0000.00
201.00201201.00
37.7537.7537.75
100,030.00100030100,030.00

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Don't format as text, format the cells as Number with 2 decimal places and tick the box that says "use 1000 separator (,)"

when I checked the format, it is already in number.. i can use 1000 seperator (,), but when i use the 3rd party program, it doesnt include those ending with 00 after the decimal.

eg

200.00 --> 200
378.00 --> 387
