Hi everyone,

I hope you can see the below image.

What I would like to do is be able to insert a line graph for FY2013, FY2014, FY2015 on a graph. Preferably in a pivot graph since I need to filter under "dealer" to get the results from a database I have created. I can do this manually, but if i created a graph manually and choose the range of data, this will change depending on the "dealer". I need it to be automatic when I choose the dealer. Pivot table achieves this seamlessly, but I need to represent a graph not in 1 line, but 3.

How would I go about doing this? Are there better ways of achieving this? Thanks

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Open PivotChart Fieldlist, Move Years to LEGEND(Series) area.

You will be able to see 3 lines (One for each Financial Year)

When I do that, all the dates appear, not years. It definately doesn't go on 3 lines either. Can you please explain with pictures? sorry, I am new at this.

It just occurred to me while going through your query.

I forgot to mention that the default pivot settings shows no value in pivot table for any missing data point, and hence pivot chart shows broken lines.

You can resolve this by pivot table options >> In layout & format tab you will see a line "For Empty Cells Show" >> Write 0 (Numeric Zero) in the box.

Now the lines in pivot chart will be continuous.
