Okay, here is my situation and here is what I am trying to do. I hope there is a relatively simple solution.

I have a spreadsheet that lists all of the audiobooks I own and it is broken up by author. Each author has a worksheet. Each worksheet has the list of books and a total of the books I have listened to and the books I haven't listened to. I also have a summary page that has all the authors and how many from each author that I have or haven't read. For Example:

[Author] Stephen King

[Listened to] 18
[Unheard] 8

The formulas are shown below:

[Author] Stephen King

[Listened to] ='Stephen King'!$E$2
[Unheard] ='Stephen King'!$G$2

Where cell E2 and G2 on each author page totals the number of heard and unheard.

My question is:
Is there a way that I can just put the authors' name in the first cell, and the other two cells read that text, find the worksheet titled as that author, and then fill out the formula.

Basically replace 'Stephen King' with a generic formula, so I don't have to change the text each time I add a new author. I can just copy the formula to the new author rows and have it update.

Thank you!

Hia & welcome to the board
Assuming that the Author's name is in A Listened to in B & Unheard in C
in B2 =INDIRECT("'"&$A2&"'!$E$2")
in C2 =INDIRECT("'"&$A2&"'!$G$2")

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for. Simple and easy. I haven't used that function before.:):)
