Hi guys

I'm working on Excel 2010, and I was hoping to find a formula that does the following:

A1: Is where the cell formula would be placed
A2: Is the specified sheet name, which is typed by the user, e.g. "Sheet2"
A3: Is the specified cell reference, which is typed by the user for the beginning of the sum area, e.g. "G1"
A4: Is the specified cell reference, which is typed by the user for the beginning of the sum area, e.g. "G10"

In this example, cell A1 would show the formula =SUM('Sheet2'!G1:G10) ..... but this formula would change depending on what the user enters manually into A2-A4, if that makes sense?

Does anyone know?

Thanks

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
try

=SUM(INDIRECT("'"&A2&"'!"&A3&":"&A4))
