SUMIF and Conditional Formatting

Hi all,

I'm trying to use conditional formatting to highlight the cells that contribute to a sum of 350.
I used the formula SUM($A$1:$A1 < A7). The issue is that only cells A1 and A2 are being highlighted, but is there a way such that A1, A2 and A3 are highlighted?

If you add a row before A1, you could use "=SUM($A$1:$A1)<$A$8".

tried this - it does not highlight the cells that I want to highlight (100,200,300) after doing this. thanks though

this doesn't work either, the values get smaller from subtracting a1

Just had a thought. Are you applying the formatting to only cells A2:A6?
