I have data in column D1 through D40
I have Data in column C1 through C40

How can I assign cell C1:C40 to show a Red X if C1:C40 is less than (<) the cell to the right D1:D40
How can I show a green check mark if cell C1:C40 equal to D1:D40
The icon will be in the same cell as the data.

ICON in "C" "D"
RED X 4.00 6.00
Green 7.20 7.20
Green 5.25 5.25
RED X 3.21 4.75

Thanks Guys.

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Never mind, I am unable to delete my post. I discovered a way to do it by adding another cell with math and tie the icon to it.
